The Mature Neighbourhood Overlay Review is being conducted in 5 stages. This process will take reviewers through a number of public consultations, the specifics of which can be viewed in Section 6 (Project Schedule) of the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay Review Project Charter.
You can learn about how Administration will engage with citizens by reviewing the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay Review Public Involvement Plan.
The review of the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay (MNO) is important to citizens across Edmonton. The public engagement program to support the MNO review is an inclusive process with a variety of engagement opportunities planned or in progress. It includes:
Public Engagement Opportunities
There will be many public engagement activities scheduled throughout the MNO Review. You can see a list of current opportunities on the Engagement Opportunities page.
Stakeholder Feedback Group
This group meets bi-monthly to discuss the project direction and includes representatives from the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL), 3 EFCL district councils, the Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA), Urban Development Institute (UDI) and Infill Development in Edmonton Association (IDEA).
Community Infill Panel
The Community Infill Panel is a volunteer advisory committee comprised of passionate residents, community league members and development industry representatives. The group provides strategic advice to Administration on possible infill-related regulation changes and how to approach engagement.
Online surveys will be posted to this website later this spring.
