The purpose of these events is to allow you to drop in and see what’s happening with our review of the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay. We have drafted revisions to the rules, are suggesting some new rules and are considering removing some rules. We want to make sure these rules will serve our mature neighbourhoods well – come learn about the proposed revisions and let us know what you think!

What to Expect

When you arrive at Lister Centre or Chateau Louis Conference Centre, you will find staff ready to spend time in conversation with you. There will be places in the room for you to review the draft rules and to have conversations about:

• How the new rules might or might not work for you.

• What changes you think should be made to the draft rules.

• Are there rules that you think have been missed or need more work?

Who Should Come

This event is setup to allow people to come for a few minutes or much longer if you are interested. You may be a citizen watching your neighbourhood change and want to help shape it. You may have first-hand knowledge of the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay because you have built a new home in a mature neighbourhood, or live beside one and have ideas about how to improve current rules. You may be a builder or developer, or thinking of building or developing. You may be a part of a community organization that cares about what happens in our mature neighbourhoods. Everyone is welcome.
